{Microsoft} Διαθέσιμα για Download τα Windows 7 RC

 

H Release Candidate του επερχόμενου λειτουργικού συστήματος της Μicrosoft, Windows 7, έγινε διαθέσιμη σήμερα το πρωί στo ευρύ κοινό. Oι χρήστες μπορούν επισκέπτοντας την ιστοσελίδα της εταιρείας να προμηθευτούν το serial number και φυσικά τις Χ86 και Χ64 εκδόσεις των Windows 7.

Παραθέτω τα Release Notes:

You don’t need to rush to get the RC. The RC will be available at least through July 2009 and we’re not limiting the number of product keys, so you have plenty of time.


Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use. (Learn more about installing Windows.) 


Protect your PC and data. Be sure to back up your data and please don’t test the RC on your primary home or business PC.

Installation: You can install the Windows 7 RC on a PC running Windows Vista without backing up the PC—but we encourage you to make a backup for safe keeping. If you’re running Windows XP or the Windows 7 Beta, you’ll need to backup your data, then do a clean installation of the RC, then reinstall your applications and restore your data. Σχετικά με την διάθεση εκδόσεων των 7 στις διάφορες γλώσσες, αυτή θα πραγαματοποιηθεί σε 8 Waves. Η ολοκλήρωσή τους θα καλύψει διάστημα 4 μηνών απο την παροχή του πρώτου wave με την ολοκλήρωση της RTM. H Ελλάδα είναι στο Wave5 που σημαίνει 73 ημέρες μετά την ολοκλήρωση της RTM. Τα χρονικά διαστήματα αφορούν τους ΟΕΜ, επομένως οι καταναλωτές θα περιμένουν λίγο παραπάνω.

{Microsoft} Office 2007 Service Pack 2.Διαθέσιμο για Download

 

H Microsoft κυκλοφόρησε σήμερα το Service Pack 2 για το MS Office 2007.

Μερικές από τις αλλαγές είναι:

• Ενσωματωμένη δυνατότητα για αποθήκευση των εγγράφων σε μορφή PDF,ODF.
• Βελτιώσεις στην απόδοση του Outlook 2007
• Περισσότερο αξιόπιστα updates για το calendar του Outlook
• Bελτίωση του Search Engine
• Bελτιώσεις στο RSS σχετικά με το Outlook
• Βελτίωση του μηχανισμού διαγραμμάτων στο Excel 2007
• Πιο γρήγορα resaves στο PowerPoint 2007

{Microsoft} Κυκλοφόρησε η Public Beta του Microsoft Exchange Server 2010

Η Microsoft κυκλοφόρησε εχθές μια public beta του Exchange Server 2010 το οποίο περιλαμβάνει αρκετά νέα και ελκυστικά features.Παραθέτω τα παρακάτω:

Γενικά Χαρακτηριστικά:

– E-mail archiving
– Threaded email conversations similar to that of Gmail, allow you to easily track an ongoing conversation. (This feature can be disabled.)
– Speech-to-Text conversion for voicemail messages.
– A «MailTips» feature which warns you if you’re sending a message to several people, if it has CCs or BCCs, and if you’re sending the email outside of your organization. This can help prevent accidental information leaks from occurring.
– The ‘Federation’ technology used in Windows Server has been adapted to exchange in the form of calendar sharing; calendar schedules can be shared among users regardless if they’re using a hosted or on-premises Exchange install.

Βελτιώσεις έχουν γίνει στον τρόπο με τον οποίο το Exchange Server αποθηκεύει και διαχειρίζεται τα αρχεία, επιτρέποντάς του έτσι να προσαρμόζεται σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα set-ups. Αυτό με την σειρά του επιτρέπει στις επιχειρήσεις να μειώνουν το κόστος και να συνεχίζουν να απολαμβάνουν μεγάλη απόδοση απο τον server τους.

{Microsfot} Silverlight 3. Τι νέο φέρνει?

Εχθές, κατά την πρώτη ημέρα του MIX09, η Microsoft κυκλοφόρησε το πολυαναμενόμενο Silverlight 3 SDK και Runtime για προγραμματιστές. Πάνω από 40 σημαντικά updates και εκατοντάδες «μικρότερα» έχουν δοκιμαστεί και ανακαλύφθεί από προγραμματιστές σε όλο τον κόσμο. Υποστηριζόμενο τόσο από το Visual Studio (εκδόσεις 2008 και 2010 ) όσο και από το Expression Blend 3, το Silverlight 3 αποτελεί σίγουρα μια σημαντική κυκλοφορία. Στις περισσότερες πτυχές,βγάζει το Flash Player έξω από την μάχη.

Στον τομέα Audio/Video έχει προστεθεί πλήρης υποστήριξη HD Video μαζί με codecs όπως οι H264/ACC. H πιο αξιοσημείωτη προσθήκη πάντως είναι οι «Out of Browser» δυνατότητες, αφού οι χρήστες μπορούν πλεόν να κατεβάσουν μια web εφαρμογή και να την χρησιμοποιήσουν είτε offline, είτε online.

{Microsoft} H Microsoft ανακοινώνει την διαθεσιμότητα του Internet Explorer 8 RTM

Σήμερα η Microsoft ανακοίνωσε τη διαθεσιμότητα του Windows Internet Explorer 8, το νέο πρόγραμμα περιήγησης στο Web που προσφέρει τη «καλύτερη λύση για τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι άνθρωποι χρησιμοποιούν σήμερα το Διαδίκτυο». Μπορείτε να το κατεβάσετε σε 25 γλώσσες, ενώ το κατέβασμα θα αρχίζει το μεσημέρι EDT στις 19 Μαρτίου.
Ο Internet Explorer 8 είναι πιο εύκολος στη χρήση, προσφέρει καλύτερη ταχύτητα και χαρακτηριστικά ασφαλείας σε άμεση ανταπόκριση στις αυξανόμενες ανησυχίες των ανθρώπων σχετικά με την ηλεκτρονική ασφάλεια.

«Οι πελάτες έχουν καταστήσει σαφές τι θέλουν σε ένα πρόγραμμα περιήγησης στο Web – την ασφάλεια, την ταχύτητα και τη μεγαλύτερη ευκολία στη χρήση», δήλωσε ο Steve Ballmer, CEO της Microsoft.
Περικοπές προβλέπονται για το χρόνο που απαιτείται για την ολοκλήρωση κοινών εργασιών στο Διαδίκτυο, όπως την αναζήτηση, τη χαρτογράφηση την κατανομή και την πλοήγηση
